Rent a Friend Review: Can You Really Get Paid to be a Friend or Is This Just Another Scam?

rent a friend review - logo

When I first heard about rent a friend as a money making opportunity I was a bit disturbed but also very intrigued by the concept.

I mean can you really rent friendship these days? I thought real friendship was something that money couldn’t buy?

But in today’s age apparently you can make money by being a friend? W

hat does renting your friendship really mean?

Check out my full rent a friend review and get the answers.

Find out if rent a friend is a legitimate money making opportunity or if it’s just another scam.

 What is Rent a Friend?

Scott Rosenbaum started this service in New Jersey in 2009 and it has been so popular Rent a Friend is now global.

rent a friend review - avaliable worldwide

Rent a Friend is a website that allows you to rent a friend from all over the world. Despite all the technology available today the reality is many of us are fairly isolated with little time or energy to meet people and develop friendships.

So that is where Rent a Friend comes in to help connect people.

What does renting your friendship look like?

You can rent a friend from your neighborhood to check out a concert in town or rent a friend in the far away country you are planning to visit.

Members of Rent a Friend can rent friends for practically everything and anything. This could be:

  • For a walk in the park,
  • To practice a foreign language or instrument,
  • To accompany an elderly relative,
  • To go to a game or the gym with, or
  • A local guide in a foreign country you are visiting.

Here are some other reasons why people might want to Rent a Friend:

rent a friend review - activities

I never knew this but there is a huge market of people all around the world who are looking for a friend to accompany them, teach them a new skill or just be their friend. And they are willing to pay for your friendship.

However, Rent a Friend does make it very clear that it is not a dating site or an escort agency. The website states that it is strictly for platonic purposes only.

How does Rent a Friend work and how can you earn money?

rent a friend review - get paid ad

To get registered as a ‘friend for hire’ you need to fill up an application form and tell them a bit about you. It is completely free to register as a ‘friend for hire’.

All you have to do is upload a photo of yourself and provide a 2-3 sentence description of yourself (e.g. interests, hobbies and perhaps what kind of friend you are wanting to meet)

This information will be used to populate your profile on Rent a Friend. Other members searching for a friend will be able to view your profile and decide whether you are the friend they are looking for.

When someone requests to rent you as a friend, you have the option to accept or decline the invitation.

If you choose to accept, you can charge an hourly rate for your time. The minimum hourly rate is $10. Most friends charge $10 per hour for a simple walk in the park or watching a movie together. But if the ‘friendship’ involves utilizing a skill then you can charge more than $40 an hour.

You also have to negotiate when and where you will meet and payment terms with the person renting your friendship. I note they will be the one paying you and not Rent a Friend.

I do note people looking to Rent a Friend pay a monthly subscription of $24.95 to use the search platform. So you can have a little assurance that these people seeking a friend are semi-serious.

But with any online meet-up site I would still be cautious about personal safety. Just remember all the common sense stuff like:

  • Always carry a phone with you,
  • Only meet in public places, follow your instincts,
  • Never go to a stranger’s house alone or divulge where you live.

How much money can I make?

There are people who claim to make over $2,000 a week full-time on Rent a Friend while others only work weekends and make between $300-$500 a week.

This is the estimated income chart provided by Rent a Friend.

rent a friend - how much you can earn

It looks pretty impressive if you ask me but it all really boils down to what skills you have to offer and how many hours a week you are willing to work.

Rent a Friend Review: Is Rent a Friend a Scam?

No, Rent a Friend is not a scam. It is a pretty unique service which is fast gaining popularity around the world.

So if you love meeting new people and hanging out this may be a great way for you to make money.

Here are some testimonials from people who have used the Rent a Friend platform:

Final Thoughts on Rent a Friend

Although Rent a Friend is a legitimate website for platform, it would not be my #1 recommendation to make money online because it is hard to earn a decent amount unless you love meeting up with strangers and hanging out.

Personally as a female, I am also a bit wary about the personal safety risks of meeting up with strangers as you just don’t know the intention of the person hiring you.

It’s a bit like online dating, you don’t know the type of people you will meet until you step out and meet them in person.

And even if you live in a big city, there might be lots of competition. So you need to have attractive qualities that will make you a more attractive friend than the next profile on Rent a Friend.

I suspect unless you have all day to meet up with strangers and there is sufficient demand for your friendship, you will only be making pocket money from this site.

But, what if you want something more, like full-time income?

Well, Rent a Friend is not going to get your there.

Instead, you need to turn to something that has long-term potential.

That is why I recommend checking out my #1 Recommendation. This is a program for making money online, regardless of your background or experience.

It is a proven approach that has given every day people like you and me a chance to earn money and grow a successful business.

Is Snagajob a Scam or Legit Money Making Opportunity?

Is Snagajob a Scam logo

If you are looking for ways to make money from home, then SnagaJob might be one of the platforms that you are checking out.

As a mom who is about to go on maternity leave again, Snagajob naturally caught my attention. I would love to be able to earn some money working from home.

But with all the scams out there online, I was a bit dubious about this opportunity and wanted to check it out for myself.

Is Snagajob a scam or a great way to make some money online?

I wanted to find out if this was worth my time before signing up.

If that’s what you are wondering, then check out my full Snagajob review and find out if this opportunity is worth your time.

Want to earn a full-time income from home? Check Out My #1 Recommendation

What Is Snagajob?

SnagAJob.com, now re branded as Snag, is an online platform for job seekers of part-time or full-time jobs.

Founded in 2000 by Shawn Boyer, it is based in California, United States and has registered over 20 million job seekers from all over the U. S!

With over 400,000 new jobs posted monthly, it is one of the big players in the online recruitment space.

However, a quick Google search of Snagajob brings up lots of mixed reviews which made me a bit apprehensive.

I’ll show you a bit later in the post what I mean, but before that let’s look at how Snagajob works.

How Does Snagajob Work?

Is Snagajob a Scam frontpage

SnagaJob is essentially an online job search website that connect employers with job seekers.

Employers sign up with Snagajob and pay a fee to publish ads for vacant positions they want to fill.

Job seekers can create a profile on SnagAJob for free and apply for any vacant position advertised on the website.

Employers also have the option of reaching out to job seekers if they find that a job seeker’s profile matches a position they are looking to fill.

Complaints about Snagajob – The Bad

Snagajob May Sell Your Personal Information

Most complaints regarding Snagajob were by far about unsolicited phone calls and emails after signing up.

As part of the Snagajob sign up process you provide them with a lot of personal information. There are also questionnaires and short surveys to fill out to see if you qualify for the position.

It appears that your personal information is used not only to find you a job but is sold to telemarketing companies.

So is Snagajob a Scam? Well, maybe not note this top tip: When you sign up with Snagajob, you by default sign up for various marketing offers. What you have to do is go through each box and uncheck one by one to opt out. But I note there are quite a few boxes to uncheck!

Unwanted Sales Pitches

Users also complain of unrelenting salespeople calling from various Institutions like the University of Phoenix or an online art institute trying to sell them courses.

Again, this is probably because you forgot to uncheck that one out of a hundred boxes when signing up with Snagajob which read “Yes, I am interested in furthering my education and would like to learn about opportunities.”

Is Snagajob a Scam user comments

Outdated Job Postings/Non-Existent Jobs

The complaint that put me off the most was the fact that users found out that some jobs listed on the website weren’t even real.

Some users compared jobs listed on Snagajob with the vacancies page of the company’s official website and found that half the time, the company was not actually hiring for that particular position. Dodgy!

There have also been job posting for businesses that have already shut down. While you don’t expect Snagajob to be policing every single job ad, you do expect them to run some checks on employers who sign up so their website doesn’t end up littering with fake job ads.

This is what one user said, “On several of the applications that i had sent out in my area it stated not to contact the employer, I would receive an email back saying i was not qualified for the position. Hard to believe that a Food and Beverage Manager of 5 years is not qualified to be a barista at Starbucks! So, I decided to go to the Starbucks, at the location that Snag a job assured was hiring baristas and management, only to find out that they WERE NOT hiring nor are they affiliated, in any way, with Snagajob.com. I then decided to visit some other companies that I was deemed not qualified, and received the same answer.”

Start the FREE training that has taken thousands of people all over the world from complete beginners into full-time online entrepreneurs.

Praise for SnagAJob – The Good

While there are quite a complaints, there are also many people who have found jobs through Snagajob’s service.

Employers also report having a positive experience and being able to hire appropriate candidates to fill vacant roles.

Final Thoughts on Snagajob – Is Snagajob a Scam?

In my opinion, Snagajob is not a scam.

They appear to be a legitimate online job database and there are many people that report having found work from home jobs on the platform.

You just need to make sure you uncheck all the boxes that sign you up for various offers so you don’t get unsolicited emails and calls.

It would also pay to double check the job advertised against the company’s official website to make sure it’s not a fake job ad.

An alternative way to make a full-time income from home

If you are looking for an alternative way to make a full-time income from home, let me share my preferred way to work from home.

It is abased on a business model with low start-up costs and large potential audience size of 3.75 billion (yes, you heard right, BILLION).

I build a website about something I’m interested about, it can anything from makeup, skincare or wellness. And did you know building a website is as easy as filling in a form?

Well it is, if you have the right tools.

I then talk about the topic and various related products on my website. Because I do keyword research, I’m able to write articles that address what people are actually searching on Google.

That means they will find my website through a Google search. Then when people start visiting my website, I start make a commission from the products I sell.

I also buy any inventory or deal with customer enquiries or shipping logistics, this is all handled by a third party.

But yet I can actually make a full-time income from this.

Do you want to find out how you can do this too?

OddsMonkey Reviews: Is OddsMonkey Legit? Can You Really Make an Easy £900 a Month?

OddsMonkey Reviews: Is OddsMonkey Legit?

OddsMonkey promises to give you the opportunity make £900 a month from a completely risk-free strategy.

When I first read that, I was immediately skeptical.

Sounded like one of those nasty binary scams.

But little did I know, before I did my research, matched betting is become increasingly popular in recent years as a legitimate way to make money online.

So if you were considering this opportunity or looking for a way to make some extra money online, then take 5 minutes to read my review.

I’ll give you the lowdown on matched betting and OddsMonkey so you can decided for yourself whether OddsMonkey is legit.

What is OddsMonkey?

OddsMonkey is THE original and probably the most comprehensive matched betting resource available on the market today. They provide over 100 tutorials and a whole suite of tools to help you to make money with matched betting.

Sounds too good to be true? That’s what I thought too.

Let’s take a step back and talk about what “Matched Betting” is because I had no idea before I did my research for this post.

What is Matched Betting?

Mаtched bеtting (otherwise known as back bet matching, lay bet matching or double bеtting) is a bеtting technique used by individuals to profit from the free bets and incentives offered by bookmakers.

For example, bookmakers often offer sign up bonuses for new members if they make a few bets on their site.

So what you then do is make a few bets for both sides to win the tennis match.

We know that one side is going to lose. So let’s say you lose £10 per bet which totals £30 for three bets. But making those bets means you have now unlocked a £100 sign on bonus. That results in a £70 profit.

You then rinse & repeat on other sites.

I do note that sign up bonuses aren’t the only kinds of bonuses and sites like OddsMonkey:

  • Gather information from various Bookmaker’s sites,
  • Determine the best available offers
  • Shows them to you and teach you how to ‘take advantage’ of these different kinds of bonuses to make money.

Is Matched Betting Legal?

That was my first thought. Surely, you can’t profit from a system like this.

But yes, it is legal.

And it is completely legal in the UK where OddsMonkey is based and most other countries.

A spokesperson for one of the biggest betting sites, William Hill, stated that the betting industry does not have a problem with the use of free bets.

And why don’t they have an issue with matched betting?

Well because OddsMonkey and matched betting are following each betting sites’ own rules.

There is a risk that some bookmakers might ban you from their site after you have cashed out too much from their site. That is not really an issue as there are hundreds of other betting sites online that you can move on to.

So is this similar to learning how to trade Forex or Binary Options?

Matched betting is focused on the sports market, which is more familiar and more accessible to people than currency exchanges and options trading. Unlike trading in forex markets or binary options, matched betting is 100% risk-free and does not require a significant amount of money to start.

You will also not be exposed to the possibility of huge losses like you do in forex or options trading.

So how do you get started with OddsMonkey?

OddsMonkey has 3 pricing levels.

OddsMonkey Reviews: Is OddsMonkey Legit?

I would suggest starting with the FREE account as you can make your first £45 immediately with no credits card required.

Being a bit conservative, I love to test systems out for free before forking over any of my hard earned money.

Once you make some money and decide matched betting is for you then you can move onto the most popular plan, which is the monthly membership. This gives you access to all the premium tools with a 30 day 100% money-back guarantee.

You can always upgrade to the yearly membership down the track when you have been convinced that the system really works and you are making consistent money.

It is not uncommon to earn more than £150 (the price of a yearly membership) during the first month. Some beginners can make several hundreds of pounds from unlocking all the welcome bonuses from various betting sites.

What do you get for your OddsMonkey membership?

For your OddsMonkey membership you will get:

  • Step-by-step training videos
  • Tutorials
  • Matched Betting software

This is OddsMonkey’s core tool and it was the original matched betting tool created already back in 2011.

This tool is designed to help you finds, compare and sorts offers on 4 betting exchanges and on over 90 bookmakers.

It is a huge time saver so you don’t have to trawl through over 90 bookmaker sites manually (which would be time-consuming and painful!)

This tool also rates each offer on profitability so you can filter by the most profitable offers. If you have a particular interest in a certain sport, you can also filter specific matches by sport, betting exchange, bookmaker or market.

This tool curates a list of the best special offers each day and the details about each offer.

This makes it easy to narrow in on which offers you want to dabble in. The tool also allows you to sorts the offers based on their difficulty (Easy, Average, Hard).

So if you are a beginner, you can choose offers that match you current matched betting knowledge.

You can also set up these notifications to be send directly to your email each day.

This is an advanced tool that shows you the bets that you need to do in order to equalize your profit for all outcomes.

This is a great tool to help you save money by not paying exchange commissions because you can two wagering requirements at once. But this advanced tool should only be used after you have mastered the basic tools and the training.

OddsMonkey Community

OddsMonkey Reviews: Is OddsMonkey Legit?

OddsMoney membership give you access to other members of OddMonkey who are on the same journey as you. Members can help each other out and inspire each other.

I have been a member of the Wealthy Affiliate online business community for almost 2 years now and I absolutely would not be where I am today without the support and encouragement of my community.

What are people saying about OddsMonkey

After having a dig around online, it looks like OddsMonkey is generally rated extremely positive reviews by its users.

Being someone who is constantly on the lookout for great ways to make money online, I am mostly disappointed by what I find. And certainly the reviews from users for other products are not nearly as rosy.

Let’s have a look at OddMonkey’s rating on reviews.co.uk:

OddsMonkey Reviews: Is OddsMonkey Legit?

A whopping 97% of users recommend this company. That is a pretty impressive rating and isn’t common by far.

And I couldn’t believe how positive the reviews were!

How Much Can You Earn with OddsMonkey?

If you are new to matched betting, you can earn about £1,500 just from calming all your welcome bonuses by signing up to all the different Bookmakers.

After that it is possible to make about £900 per month. I don’t know about you, but £900 a month goes a long way in our household and matched betting doesn’t require too much time.

And the best bit was that all the earnings from the matched betting are completely tax free.

That means you get to keep the whole £900 which would make your hourly salary from matched betting is much higher than the average hourly salary in the UK.

And across a year, your net income is around the same as with the person who is making £20,000 annual gross income on a regular job!

Once you put in the work and learn the process, the process of matched betting doesn’t take long.

You just rinse and repeat the process.

I note that the £900 per month of average earnings OddsMonkey’s users report on their community forums is much better than on a competing site called Profit Squirrel, where people make usually £500 per month.

This is probably because OddsMonkey more tools and resources than Profit Squirrel. Many experts and authorities in the matched betting industry claim that OddsMonkey is the best tool for people who want to make money with matched betting.

Is OddsMonkey worth it?

The cost of the membership will pay itself back very quickly with typical earnings of £900 per month.

If you are in this for the long haul, you will only get better and better and can make more and more each month.

While you aren’t going to become a millionaire from matched betting, you can definitely make a decent monthly income from this opportunity.

I’ll give you the lowdown on matched betting and Profit Squirrel so you can decide for yourself whether Profit Squirrel is a scam or great money making opportunity.

Try Profit Squirrel Here!

What is Profit Squirrel?

Profit Squirrel was developed in 2015 by founder Chris Haill after learning matched betting and a keen matched bettor himself.

Chris designed Profit Squirrel to be ‘the best at teaching people how to match bet’. Profit Squirrel promises that once you complete the step-by-step video tutorials you will be equipped with the skills to make risk-free profits in the sports betting markets. And you don’t have to know anything about sports.

Sounds too good to be true? That’s what I thought too.

Let’s take a step back and talk about what “Matched Betting” is because I had no idea before I did my research for this post.

What is Matched Betting?

Mаtched bеtting (also known as back bet matching, lay bet matching or double bеtting) is a bеtting technique used by individuals to profit from the free bets and incentives offered by bookmakers.

For example, bookmakers often offer sign up bonuses for new members if they make a few bets on their site.

You then rinse & repeat on other sites.

I do note that sign up bonuses aren’t the only kinds of bonuses and sites like Profit Squirrel:

  • Gather information from various Bookmaker’s sites,
  • Determine the best available offers
  • Shows them to you and teach you how to ‘take advantage’ of these different kinds of bonuses to make money.

That was my first thought. Surely, you can’t profit from a system like this.

And why don’t they have an issue with matched betting?

Well because most people who take on these bonuses, don’t do matched betting and end up spending a whole lot more than the bonus offered. And as long as the Bookmaker’s pockets remain full, they aren’t too worried about a small portion of people who have literally learnt to game the system.

So is this similar to learning how to trade Forex or Binary Options?

Unlike learning to trade in forex markets or binary options, matched betting is 100% risk-free and does not require a significant amount of money to start.

You will also not be exposed to the possibility of huge losses like you do in forex or options trading.

Matched betting is focused on the sports market, which is more familiar and more accessible to people than currency exchanges and options trading.

So how do you get started with Profit Squirrel?

To qualify, you do need to be over 18 and prove residency in the United Kingdom (UK). The methods taught in Profit Squirrel and daily income offers are only available to resident of the UK.

If you meet these criteria, you will need to sign up as a member for Profit Squirrel. It costs £24.99 for the monthly option and £198.99 for the annual option.

After that, you will need £40-50 to get started. This is enough to make you about £20 in guaranteed profit in just your first tutorial.

They always say if you play big then you win big. But I’m a bit more conservative I always like to test the waters out first. Even if they do say its 100% risk free.

Is Fight Club a Scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with Fight Club?

If you love sneakers or have some awesome sneaker that you are wanting to trade, then Flight Club might just be the place for you. This is not to be confused with Fight Club, that movie starring Brad Pitt.

Today, I’m going to look into whether this opportunity is a scam or legit?

So what is flight club?

Flight Club was founded by the entrepreneur Damany Weir in 2005. It is considered the world’s number 1 sneaker marketplace for people looking for limited and “rare” sneakers. They also sell clothes and other accessories.

Other than their online store, they also have physical stores in both New York and Los Angeles.

So how does Flight Club work – selling your sneakers?

If you have some cool sneakers to trade, then you simply take or send your shoes into Flight Club. They will then determine what your shoes are worth based on market values and extensive market data.

Flight club will then sell your sneakers online for you and in their New York and Los Angeles stores.

When you sneakers are sold, you will receive a check for 80% of the final sale price. The rest of the money goes to Flight Club.

Sounds pretty straightforward doesn’t it?

So how does Flight club work – if you are looking to buy sneakers?

Is Flight Club a scam or legit

The one thing Flight club prides itself in is having excess to limited edition sneaker that are sold out everywhere else. When you browse through their website, you will see that they have an extremely wide range of the latest sneakers available.

This naturally raises the concern about the legitimacy of these sneakers. Since they are sold out everywhere else, how can Flight club be selling them?

One example of the limited edition sneakers that Flight club was selling was the Yeezy Boost sneaker shoes.

Flight club seems to be able to keep up with the high demand of these limited edition sneakers. So do they actually have legitimate copies in stock or are they passing off well-made fakes for the real deal?

I decided to have a snoop for myself.

I started my investigation on the official website of Flight Club and I saw that Flight club was encouraging people to sell their limited edition shoes on Flight club.

Well maybe that is how they keep up with the demand, there are as many people wanting to sell their limited edition sneakers as they are people who are wanting to buy?

I did think it was a bit odd. I mean if I got my hands on such limited edition sneakers I wouldn’t be selling them in a hurry. And even if I was going to sell them, you would have to pay me GOOD money to part with my beloved sneakers.

That being said, let’s have a look at the price that these limited edition sneakers are selling at?

I found a pair of Kanye West–branded shoes, which were released for $200, selling for as much as $2,000 on Flight club.

is flight club a scam or legit

This seemed a lot more than what the Yeezy Boost sneaker shoes were going for on eBay. That does point to the fact that the ones on Flight club are probably real.

I guess at the end of the day, the answer is it is impossible to tell if the sneakers you are buying are real or fake.

The general consensus on reading through online forums is that Flight club does have legitimate shoes. But the main concern people seem to have is that Flight club is often a bit more expensive than other platforms.

That seems to be the premium you pay for the reputation that Flight club has versus some seller on eBay.

At the end of the day, make sure you do your own research before making a purchase.

So is Flight Club A Scam?

No, I wouldn’t say that they are not a scam. It is a legitimate business and in fact I think it’s a brilliant business idea.

Sneakers are really hot right now and Damamy and his team have found a way to make lots of money from this hot niche.

The only thing I would be wary off is not being able to tell if a sneaker is real or fake. I am no sneaker expert so I wouldn’t be able to tell you if the ones they are selling are real or fake.

I must warn you though that Flight club do NOT offer any refunds once you have made a purchase.

This is what their terms and conditions clearly state:

“Since the majority of products we carry are provided on consignment from independent sellers, all sales with us are final. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. If you are concerned about sizing for a particular style of shoe, please feel free to email us before your purchase. We will gladly provide you with the best information possible, but please note that comfort preferences vary for each person.”

So keep that in mind before you make a purchase. Make sure you do your research online to see if there are better alternatives on other platforms. And also read reviews of the particular sneaker seller.

Do you love sneakers and want to make money off your passion?

If you love sneakers, you are not alone. Google trends indicates that Google searches for sneakers are on the constant upward trend.

That means the market for selling sneaker is just ripe for harvest. So how can you get in on this?

Is Surveysay.com a Scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with Surveysay.com?

is surveysay.com a scam or legit

Online surveys have become increasingly popular in recent years because they are seen as an easy way to make a little extra money online.

However, with this surge in popularity has seen the increase in online survey scams too.

If you’ve come across the surveysay.com opportunity online promising that you can make money by giving your opinion, you are probably wondering if this is a scam or a legitimate money making opportunity.

I too had that burning question and decided to do my own research for the answer. So make sure you read my full review to get the lowdown on Surveysay.com.

What is Surveysay.com?

is surveysay.com a scam or legitSurveysay.com, is a get paid to take surveys website for a market research company, Varsity plaza LLC.

It serves as a middleman for other companies looking for consumer opinions. Once you sign up for surveysay.com you will get recommended survey sites to sign up for separately:

is surveysay.com a scam or legit

Right at the beginning of my research I noticed that there were a lot more complaints about Surveysay.com than many other survey sites I have researched but I’ll elaborate more later in my review.

The company behind Surveysay.com also doesn’t have the best reputation. Bigspot.com which is run by the same company, and looks identical also doesn’t have great reviews.

How Do You Make Money With Survey Say?

is surveysay.com a stcam or legit

Surveysay.com, as you would expect, provides surveys which they invite you to participate in.

They will normally send you an invitation through your email and you get points for every survey completed.

So how can surveysay.com pay you for these surveys?

Well, this part is not a scam. There is a reason why surveysay.com can pay you for your opinion.

Surveysay.com is affiliated with these websites that want to know about your spending habits. This is why they paid surveysay.com for referrals. Surveysay.com might also get paid if you make a purchase for any of the third party websites.

And of most concern, Surveysay.com probably also gets paid for selling your information to other third parties.

Reward is through points or gift cards or through cash that is sent to your PayPal account. The complaint that many people have is that they engage in trickery to stop you earning your rewards.

The general view is that you cannot rely on it as your primary source of income. Even if you earn some money, they will stop you from withdrawing it and close your account for ‘violating their terms’.

Some of the issues people have with Surveysay.com

  1. Payment delays

Users report that surveysay.com not only takes ages to pay but also sneakily looks for means of backing out of their commitment to pay.

Some people complain they before a survey is nearly done, they suddenly get message saying that they have not qualified for a survey.

Legitimate survey sites often ask pre-qualification questions BEFORE you get to start a survey. This is understandable because companies are wanting to know the consumer spending habits of families in Chicago on biscuits for example.

So pre-qualification questions will probably want to narrow down candidates to only people who live in the Chicago area, have kids and consumer biscuits regularly for example.

But getting rejected towards the end of a survey sounds dubious to me.

Some people have also complained that they terminated their accounts after they had accumulated points citing ‘violation of terms.’

Here are some reviews from users reporting being sneakily prevented from cashing out:

is surveysay.com a scam or legit

“Absolute crap. 99% of the surveys that I chose I was somehow ineligible for. In the beginning, I earned up to 8.80. Thereafter, I became ineligible. The problem with them is that they won’t reveal to you beforehand that you are not eligible. They let you sit there and spend a lot of time answering questions before they tell you that you will not be paid for your work.”

Theresa F.

“These guys are a complete scam. Don’t waste your time completing any survey on their site. I needed 6-8 weeks to make $25 which was later sent to my PayPal. When I tried to withdraw it, they declined saying I had violated rules. It is a pitiful, pitiful company. Don’t waste a minute on them.”

They sell your personal info

Another major complaint with surveysay.com is the fact that they sell your personal information without your consent.

Nowhere on their website does surveysay.com disclose that they profit from selling personal information they collect from you.

Many users report receiving lots of spam after registering with surveysay.com which is a clear indicator that their email address has been shared for marketing purposes.

While there are many legitimate paid survey sites like Swagbucks and Opinion World, there are other shady survey sites that seek out your personal information to sell for financial gain.

Read: Rent a Friend Review

So is surveysay.com a scam?

While I wouldn’t call surveysay.com a scam, I do not recommend this site to people looking for an easy way to make some cash from home.

Though it is completely free to join, it sounds to me like no one ever seems to get paid, they sell your personal information and end up wasting your precious time

I would be wary about surveysay.com because you will be constantly giving away your personal information. That raises concerns if they are selling your information while you gain nothing in return.

But more practically it means that your email inbox is going to be flooded with spam mail.

After all if a paid survey site is actually legit they won’t ask you for your email address because they do not have any need for it, other than to send your surveys that you actually qualify for!

If you are looking to make a bit of pocket money from taking surveys online, then I would recommend Swagbucks or Opinion World which I personally use.

While you will by no means be earning a full-time income online, it’s a good way to fund my ‘wants’ wish list or to subsidize Christmas presents.

I hope this answered your question, “is surveysay.com a scam or legit?” I’m personally going to stay away from it and I recommend that you do the same.

Let me know what you think about surveysay.com – is it a scam or legit way to get paid taking surveys online?

Want to earn a full-time income from home? Check Out My #1 Recommendation

But what if you want earn more than just pocket money online?

If you are looking to earn a bit more than just pocket money and are looking to replace a part-time or full-time income online, then don’t bother with paid surveys. They aren’t going to get you there.

How to make a full-time income online?

My preferred way to make money online is based on a business model with low start-up costs and large potential audience size of 3.75 billion (yes, you heard right, BILLION).

Is 20Cogs a scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with 20Cogs?

The Quick Low-Down

Name: 20Cogs
Website Url: 20cogs.co.uk
Price: Free
Overall Rank: 2 out of 5

Summary:

This is a legit site that rewards you for completing offers and certain tasks. If you love joining trial offers and taking surveys for fun during your free time, this might be for you to generate some rewards. Although, there have been quite a few complaints about cashing out, so a platform like Swagbucks will probably be a better bet/

However, if you are hoping to replace a part-time income with this then DON’T waste your time.

Do you know what the minimum wage in California is?

The answer is A LOT MORE than what 20Cogs will pay you!

What is 2Cogs?

<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/MzM7FL8oJM0″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media” allowfullscreen></iframe>

20Cogs is a website that reward you for completing offers and certain tasks like:

  • Registering for websites and completing a very small task like completing a survey.
  • Joining a trial offer for a product or service like movie streaming services, online casinos or credit reports.
  • Completing competitions to win prizes.

Each time you complete one of these tasks, 20Cogs will be rewarded with a commission from the advertiser which they share with you.

Since they provide the platform and the tasks for you, you put in the effort and get a share of the commissions.

Sounds fair enough?

There are many websites like this, such as Swagbucks, that offer a range of various rewards for completing similar tasks.

So how does 20Cogs work?

Firstly, you are required to sign up. This process is pretty simple and is free. All you have to do is provide your name, email, and password. Or for a super quick and hassle free sign up, you can use your Facebook account.

Once you are signed up, you will be shown your 20 Cogs that represent different offers. You will need to complete all 20 of these tasks in order to get paid.

Each Cog contains about 2 different offers that you can choose from. If you don’t like the tasks, then just click on “take offer” and then “continue” to unlock the next offer.

That is just so you don’t get stuck on the first Cog if you don’t want to complete that task.

If you want to move forward and make some money with 20Cogs, then you will want to move through and take a look at all 20 offers to see if you are keen to complete all of them.

If not, then there is really no point in investing the time to complete some tasks and not all.

Don’t forget, if you don’t complete them all, you won’t get paid a dime!

Are The Offers Worth The Effort?

I found some quite tedious, though most of them are quite straightforward. The tedious ones involve completing surveys that are long with very little reward.

The simpler ones are quicker, but they do come at a price. You are often required to put down some sort of deposit or join a trial period which usually involves a small joining fee.

The problem with these tasks is that you have to remember to cancel your membership after the trial period if not you get charged. When you sign up for the free trial they often ask you for your credit card details. And if you don’t cancel before the end of the month, they charge you!

Here is an example of an offer from toucanBox.com.

Is 20Cogs a scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with 20Cogs?

This company charges a fortnight subscription (£3.95 + 98p postage) for delivering creative craft boxes to children.

You can get your first box for free (yay!). BUT if you forget to cancel your subscription, they will automatically charge you for the next box.

And other offers involve you giving out personal information like your phone number or email address. This can lead to annoying telemarketing calls on a daily basis.

This is what this lady experienced with such an offer:

Is 20Cogs a scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with 20Cogs?

How To Validate Your Offers?

I found this quite a hassle too, so your tasks is only marked as completed at the end of the trial period.

So if you join a 30-day free trial, your reward will only be paid out once the merchant confirms that you have completed your 30-day trial.

With the issues people have reported being paid out for 20Cogs, I would definitely keep close track of which offers you have joined, and which ones have yet to be validated.

This is to make sure you have canceled subscriptions before you get charge AND get your due reward for your efforts.

Is 20Cogs a scam or Legit – Can You Really make Money with 20Cogs?

A Better Alternative To 20Cogs?

If you are wanting to get rewards for completing small tasks, then a better alternative is Swagbucks.

Swagbucks is one of the largest reward website online, and they have a huge collection of rewards ranging from

  • surveys,
  • to shopping cashback,
  • being paid to watch videos,
  • being paid to search and many more.

It is a much safer with more established platform and they have a long-standing history of paying out.

Do I Recommend 20Cogs?

If you are looking to earn a bit of pocket money online, then I would recommend you check out Swagbucks or Opinion World.

However, if you are wanting to earn a bit more than just pocket money and are looking to replace a part-time or full-time income online, then don’t bother with 20Cogs, Swagbucks or OpinionWorld.

They aren’t going to get you there.

Is Option Robot a scam or Is It Really a Source of Easy Money?

Is Option Robot a scam?

Yet another binary options software that claims to have come up with a winning algorithm to make you money on autopilot. And what’s more it’s the software is completely free!

Is there really such thing as a free lunch?

Make sure you read this full review BEFORE you download the software or make any decisions.

The Quick Low Down

Name: Option Robot

Price: Free to sign up, but don’t sign up just yet until you read the full review.

Overall Ranking: 1 out of 5

Don’t be its latest victim.

Read this post and get clued-up on what Option Robot is all about.

So what is the Option Robot all about?

Is Option Robot a scam?

Option Robot is a complex algorithm that trades binary options. According to the sales presentation, Option Robot has an impressive 83 % winning rate, which is pretty amazing for a free piece of software.

Unlike many other binary option software products out there, Option Robot doesn’t seem to have the fancy sales video or crazy back stories of the founder having discovered a way to beat the system and make lots of money on autopilot.

But how does it achieve 83% accuracy for winning trades?

While this is the lower accuracy than what is claims by other apps like the Dubai Lifestyle app (spoiler alert: it’s a scam), an 83% accuracy level is still unheard of in the binary options market and was my first red flag for this project.

If you can speak to professional traders they will tell you the odds for binary options trading are nowhere close to what the Option Robot is boasting.

So what are Binary Options?

In case, you aren’t familiar with the term binary option (I wasn’t), let’s pause here and talk about what they actually are.

<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/ymmopjFucZM” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”” allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media”></iframe>

Binary options are where you take a “yes” or “no” position on the price of a stock or other asset, such as exchange traded funds (ETFs) or currencies.

If you are a complete newbie, it is basically like playing a game of roulette. You can only get two results with binary options – all or nothing.

So for example, you might bet that the share price of company Y will be above $10 tomorrow at 1pm, so you buy one binary call option for $100 with a predetermined pay-out for $200. This is a “call”, where you predict a price increase.

Where you predict a price decrease, this is called a “put”.

There are only two possible outcomes.

If you guessed correctly and the price at 1pm soars to $20 (above $10), then you get paid out $200. That’s $100 profit for you, woohoo!

But if the price is $10 and below, then you leave empty-handed.

It is all or nothing.

So the example is just to give you some context to the claims of the app being able to win 83% of the time.

This software is saying that it is able to tell the outcome of a roulette game 83% of the time! That’s called being able to see into the future.

The scary part about Option Robot

My second red flag was that Option Robot uses Martingale as one of the money management systems.

The Martingale system is a system of investing in which the dollar value of investments continually increases after losses, or the position size increases with a lowering portfolio size.

This means each time you get a losing trade, you keep doubling your investment until you get a winner. I don’t know about you, but such behaviour at a casino would certainly be worrying to people around you. I think it’s called digging yourself into a bigger and bigger hole.

This really can wipe out your account in a matter of minutes if you get a series of bad trades, which happens regularly in trading not only binary options.

So any trading system that uses Martingale is extremely dangerous and I recommend you stay well away from it. It’s a quick way to lose any investment very quickly.

The Ugly Truth about Option Robot

And my last red flag that put me right off this product was their risk disclaimer. You might just miss this until you scroll right to the bottom of their website.

There you will find the risk disclaimer written in the tiniest print that is very hard to read.

is option robot a scam?

If you can’t read that, this is what it says:

“Trading binary options is highly speculative, carries a level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You may lose some or all of your invested capital; therefore, you should not speculate with capital you cannot afford to lose.

Please note if you are from the USA, some binary options companies are not regulated with the United States. These companies are not supervised, connected or affiliated with regulatory agencies.

We warn US citizens of the dangers of trading with such entities and strongly advise they take legal advice on this in the US.”

What do you think of that risk disclaimer?

The SEC Warns about the danger of such unregistered binary options brokers

The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) warns that much of the binary options market operates through Internet-based trading platforms, do not complying with applicable U. S regulatory requirements and may be engaged in illegal activity.

Gosh so this software might be engaging in illegal activity for all I know.

And at best, trading with unregulated brokers means that if anything goes wrong, and the money you investment disappears into thin air, the SEC will not be able to investigate or get your money back.

I not sure this risky software is worth any of my money. Sure it’s free but sounds like a big black hole that could suck any money you put in it.

Have you heard of the Dubai Lifestyle App, Canuck Method, The Brit Method or the Kiwi Method? You can read my full review here to see the scary similarities.

Have you had any experience with these methods?

I would love to hear from you in the comments below.

Robinhood trading app review – is the Robinhood trading app a scam
Product Reviews A-Z

Robinhood trading app review – is the Robinhood trading app a scam or great way to get into the stock market?

Robinhood trading app review – is the Robinhood trading app a scam

The Robinhood trading app was made with investors and in particular millennial investors in mind.

Millennials make up 80% of Robinhood’s user base of over 3,000,000 members and the average age of their members is 26.

What’s so great about the Robinhood trading app?

And is it worth downloading and jumping on the bandwagon?

As a fellow Millennial, I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about.

So what is the Robinhood trading app?

Robinhood is a free trading app available on both the Apple store and Google Playstore. It is ideal for millennial investors who are seeking the ability to buy a wide selection of stocks, ETFs and cyptocurrencies through a simple interface without having to pay any commissions or fees.

So how does Robinhood make money when it charges no commissions? Well, it makes money from interest earned from interest earned on your cash balances and margin lending.

What will you be investing in?

Exchange Traded Funds

If you haven’t heard of Exchange traded funds (ETFs), let’s pause and have a look at what these are.

ETFs are a collection of various investments such as shares of stock, bonds, oil futures, gold bars, foreign currency etc.

The major advantage of investing in an ETF over investing directly in a company like Apple for example, is the ability to diversify.

You can also invest only small amounts. Often, investing directly in a company requires a large minimum investment.

So how does the Robinhood trading app work?

The first step is to the download the app and sign up for a new account.

The good news is there is no minimum investment to get started and the sign up process is simple and takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

You just need to provide your email address and pick a unique username. And all this can be done via the app!

If you felt the need to go onto the website to sign up, then the Robinhood app might not be for you. The whole idea of this app to be able to do everything from the convenience of your smartphone.

Once you have created an account you will be need to connect your bank accounts to the app.

Connecting to any major bank is pretty easy. All you have to do is choose your bank, enter your username and password, and Robinhood will verify the account and balance instantly.

Linking your bank account gives Robinhood accesses to funds to start trading.

So how safe is your money?

This is probably the question floating around in your mind after I said linking your bank account gives Robinhood access to your money.

Luckily, the Robinhood trading app supports two-factor authentication, so it is a good idea to add that for your account to ensure your investments are safe. You don’t want someone jumping on your phone and getting a hold of your password and get the ability to cash out money from your account.

How to start trading

is the robinhood trading app a scam: robinhood trading app review

Once you transfer some money to start trading, you can search for stocks you want to buy or sell in the top right-hand corner.

If you aren’t quite decided on which stock to buy, I loved the feature that makes it easy to check out the recent news for any stock that you are interested in.

This makes it easy to do some stock research on the go, perhaps while you are on your commute to work (if you are on public transport).

When you decide on a share to buy, you just need to:

  • Type in the number of shares,
  • Review the estimated cost, and
  • Swipe to trade.

Once you swipe, your order is put in to purchase the stock and when your order to buy is successful, you will see digital confetti filling your screen, celebrating your purchase of a share. I thought this was pretty cute and quite different from trading on a trading program run by the banks.

My favorite thing about the Robinhood App: Watchlists, News, and Notifications

is the robinhood trading app a scam? robinhood trading app reviewI have to be honest my interest in the stock market comes and goes depending on whether a stock catches my eye.

But when I’m keeping an eye on a particular, I love the fact that I can get instant updates companies that I’ve placed on my watchlist.

That means once I’ve added the company to my watchlist, I get major stories as app notifications on my phone. This lets me quickly learn whether I expect the stock price to go up and down.

I found it pretty easy to customize my notifications on what I did and did not want to see popping up on my phone. I also found it useful to add other stocks that I own on other brokerages onto my watchlist so I could keep up to date on them in one easy method.

And when I’m looking to buy a stock, I don’t want to buy it just before it drops. Not good. But if I think it’s about to get a hop on, then I quickly nab it.

Is Robinhood trading app for you – is it a great way to make money online?

is robinhood app a scam? Robinhood app reviewThe best things about the Robinhood trading app is the cost of $0 per trade. The brokerage I usually purchase my shares through has a $30 transaction fee each time I buy or sell.

The $0 transaction cost means that Millenials or even experienced investors can get into the stock market at a low cost. You don’t have to buy a big amount of shares to make the brokerage cost ‘make sense’.

Plus it is also a really easy and fuss free way to buy and sell stocks with no commissions, fees, or account minimums.

If you are looking to get started investing in the stock market, Robinhood is a great place to begin.

However, to make money online with any stock trading, you have to know what to look for and actually do your research.

If you don’t find investing very interesting or aren’t dedicated to reading up on the stock market, then perhaps the Robinhood trading app is not for you.

Without making doing your research to make an educated buy and/or sell decision, stock trading would be akin to gambling. And gambling is dangerous with no guarantee of returns.

If you are looking for another way to grow your wealth, then you definitely need to check out my no.1 recommendation to build a long-term stream of income. This proven method has shown thousands how to turn their passions (whether it’s investing or not) into a profitable online business.

Well that’s it for my Robinhood trading app review.

Let me know what you think of the app. I’d love to hear your experience with it!

Is the profit replicator app a scam

Once you download the app, you are promised that you are going to make a lot of money and it will change your life.

So what happens after you download the app. Well, it is going to cost you $250 to get started.

Once you fill in your contact details, you will be directed to a binary options broker page to fund your account. And the minimum amount is $250.

So what happens now to your $250?

Well, according to the sales video the app has a 100% accuracy when it comes to winning trades.

Did you know that if you can speak to professional traders, they will tell you the odds for binary options trading are nowhere close to what the profit replicator app is boasting?

If you aren’t familiar with binary options (no worries, not many people are), let’s take a step back and have a look at what they are. This will help you understand why claiming an accuracy of 100% is ludicrous at best.

So what are Binary Options?

<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/ymmopjFucZM” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=”” allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media”></iframe>

Binary options are where you take a “yes” or “no” position on the price of a stock or other asset, such as exchange traded funds (ETFs) or currencies.

It’s almost like a game of roulette if you are a newbie, you can only get two results with binary options – all or nothing.

So for example, you might bet that the share price of company Y will be above $20 tomorrow at 1pm, so you buy one binary call option for $100 with a predetermined pay-out for $200. This is a “call”, where you predict a price increase.

Where you predict a price decrease, this is called a “put”.

There are only two possible outcomes.

If you guessed correctly and the price at 1pm soars to $30 (above $20), then you get paid out $200. That’s $100 profit for you, awesome!

But if the price is $20 and below, then you leave empty-handed.

It is all or nothing.

So the example is just to give you some context to the claims of the app being able to win 100% of the time.

Imagine being able to tell the outcome of a roulette game 100% of the time, every single time. That could be better than a psychic.

The Scam Red Flag – Fake User’s Testimonials

If you take a closer look at the profit replicator app testimonials (apparently) in social media, you start to see the holes.

When you click into any of the above links, the links are dead and don’t lead anywhere.

And when I looked into the photo of one of the ‘industry insiders’ who provide an endorsement of the profit replicator app, it appears that they have ripped off a photo of a web developer and passed him off as a CEO of Traders Web.

FAKE!

Is the profit replicator app a scam?

Is the profit replicator app a scamYes, I believe it is!

Usually if a claim of easy is too good to be true, it usually is.

I wish it weren’t so, and I wish we could all just download an app throw money into it and let it work its magic and make us millions.

Imagine, we could solve world poverty with such an app!

The SEC Warns About Such Unregistered Binary Options Brokers

Did you know that even the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) warns of such binary option brokers that operate through Internet-based trading platforms?

These brokers do not complying with applicable U. S regulatory requirements and may be engaged in illegal activity.

So at its worst, this is app is engaging in illegal practices.

At best, trading with unregulated brokers means that if anything goes wrong, and the money you investment disappears into thin air, the SEC will not be able to investigate or get your money back.

So once your pay your $250 over, you may never see it ever again. And you won’t be able to do anything about it.
